Director of the Month (February 2016)- Akshay Joshi

For the month of February, our director of the month is Akshay Joshi from 2017 Computer Engineering who is this term’s Webmaster, Secretary and EngHack Director.

During February, Akshay took on a lot to bring our website up to date. He put in a lot of work to upgrade our WordPress installation, which was long overdue. This wasn’t an easy process, and was very tedious, and he had to fix our theme in the process. This is something that he took on on his own volition, unprompted by anyone. As a result, the site looks even better now! He’s also been co-ordinating with the exec team to make sure our website and accounts stay secure, which is a nice area for our webmaster to take on. He has been very involved with the President, working with her to bring our website up to the level you’d expect from EngSoc. He’s done a great job so far, and we can’t wait to see what he does going forward!

On top of this, he also directed the Eng+Math Hackathon, and is the secretary for both Council and Board. Akshay definitely deserves the title of Director of the Month for the dedication and passion he has for making EngSoc better, and for having the initiative and independence to make improvements where needed.

Congratulations once again Akshay!
