The Engineering Society would like to extend congratulations to Dr. Eline Boghaert, who was selected by the Teaching Excellence Award Committee as this term’s recipient of the Engineering Society Teaching Excellence Award!
This award recognizes an instructor (professors, lecturers, or laboratory instructors) for their contributions to ensuring the academic success of their students. More specifically, the award recognizes an instructor who has:
- Employed non-conventional teaching techniques
- Allowed opportunities for experiential learning
- Showed a commitment and dedication towards ensuring academic success for students
Dr. Boghaert has exhibited all of these aforementioned points through her exemplary and distinguished teaching methods. She received the highest number of nominations this term, and the Teaching Excellence Award Committee was thoroughly impressed by how detailed, and comprehensive the nominations were – showcasing how she went above and beyond to accommodate her students, and help them grow academically.
